Welded Carbon Steel Pipe

An alloy of carbon and iron, carbon steel has a carbon concentration of up to 2.1% by weight. Steel will become stronger and harder as its carbon content rises, but it will become less ductile. In terms of hardness and strength, carbon steel is strong and affordable compared to other steels. According to the welding method, welded steel pipe is classified as furnace, electric (resistance), and automatic arc welding pipe; according to the welding form, it is classified as straight seam and spiral; and according to the end shape, it is classified as round and special-shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipe.

There are various ways to produce welded steel tubes due to the various welding techniques. Under high pressure, carbon steel welded pipe and tube are used. They are excellent for transporting fluids because of their strong stress and vibration resistance. Numerous industries, including the transportation of water and sewage, the oil and gas industries, boiler and condenser tubes, high-pressure applications, and chemical processing, employ carbon steel pipes extensively.
