Galvanised Plumbing Pipe

Galvanized steel pipe is widely used in our daily life, such as water, oil, gas, fire protection, structure, etc. The following problems shall be paid attention to during the installation of galvanized pipes according to different purposes and diameters:

1. Select the appropriate connection method according to the actual specification requirements and the size of galvanized pipe fittings. For example, when DN is greater than 65mm, clamp groove connection can be used.

2. Before the connection of galvanized pipe, it is necessary to screw the galvanized pipe on by hand to check its tightness. Sufficient allowance shall be reserved to tighten the pipe fittings.

3. After the connection of the galvanized pipe, the hydrostatic test shall be carried out to check whether there is leakage at each connection. If there is any leakage, the mark shall be made, and the inspection shall be conducted again after the repair until the inspection result is qualified.

4. When welding galvanized pipes, it is recommended to cut off a small section of steel pipe head before processing, so as to avoid problems such as loose butt joint of two branch pipe orifices after butt joint.
