Galvanized pipe can be divided into hot galvanizing and electrogalvanizing. 

Electrogalvanized steel pipe is a kind of steel pipe that has been degreased and derusted, which is hung onto the cathode in a special electroplating tank. The anode is zinc. Connect the DC power supply, the zinc ions on the anode migrate to the cathode, and discharge on the cathode, so that the steel pipe surface is coated with zinc. The surface of the steel pipe is smooth and flat. The zinc layer and the steel pipe substrate are separated. The zinc layer is simply attached to the steel pipe substrate, which is easy to fall off. The zinc layer is thin, and the amount of zinc coating is less, only 10-50g/㎡. Its corrosion resistance is relatively low. Therefore, the amount of cold galvanized steel pipe is relatively small.

The hot-dip galvanized steel pipe causes complex physical and chemical reactions between the steel pipe substrate and the molten zinc, and a special proportion of alloy is added into the molten zinc to form a zinc iron alloy layer with tight corrosion resistant structure. It can prevent corrosion of steel substrate due to contact with air. In addition, if zinc oxide reacts with other components in the air to form insoluble zinc salts, it can also play a better anti-corrosion role. The anti-corrosion performance can reach 20 times of that of ordinary steel pipes.
