Saw Spiral Welded Pipe

Steel coils are extruded at room temperature to make spiral steel pipe, which is then welded using the double wire and double-faced submerged-arc welding technique. Spiral steel pipe, sometimes called spiral or helix spiral steel pipe, is a tube made up of welded joints produced from a low-carbon steel or low-alloy structural steel strip rolled at a specific helix angle (called molding angle). It can be made out of a narrow strip of large diameter tubing.

During the molding process of spiral welded steel pipe, steel plate experiences constant deformation and minimum residual stress, resulting in a smooth surface. Spiral steel pipe comes in a larger range of thicknesses and diameters, making it excellent for high-quality thick pipes with small or medium apertures.

From the aspect of welding, spiral welded steel pipe can be used as arc welded pipe, high frequency or low frequency resistance welded pipe, gas welded pipe, furnace welded pipe or Bondi pipe, etc.
