Spiral Seam Welded Pipe

Steel pipe with seams on the surface that is welded by bending and deforming a steel strip or steel plate into a round, square, or other shape is known as spiral welded steel pipe. It can be classified as arc welded pipe, high frequency or low frequency resistance welded pipe, gas welded pipe, furnace welded pipe, and so on, depending on the welding methods used.

According to the shape of the weld, it can be divided into straight seam welded pipe and spiral seam welded pipe. Electric welded steel pipes are used in oil drilling and machinery manufacturing. Spiral welded pipes are used for oil and gas transportation, pipe piles, bridge piers, and other applications. Furnace welded pipes can be used as water and gas pipes, large-diameter straight seam welded pipes can be used for high-pressure oil and gas transportation, and so on. Welded steel pipes are less expensive and more productive than seamless steel pipe.
